I'm probably going to catch a lot of #### for this post but I think it's deserved. I was trying to find a phone number for F.F.E this morning sense I deleted them all from my phone and ran across their new ad on bubbajunk.com and thought what a crock of ####. They are hurting bad for driver's because they have treated their previous drivers so bad that the word is out and no one want's to work for them except the rookies who don't know about companies. When I first started with them it was pretty good for the first month then it turned into my worst nightmare!

I am going qoute their ad as follow's to make all necessary corrections so those who are thining aabout getting on with them will think twice before making a huge career mistake.

"FFE is offering a $1,000.00 sign on bonus for Experienced drivers (1 year OTR exp) Paid out as follows: $250 first paycheck; $250 after 60 days and $500 at 180 days (6 months"

This is a new one. Never before have they offered a sign on bonus. This a lure because they have one of the top turn over rates leaving drivers with a bad taste in their mouths. I've never seen a company with so many empty trucks sitting on the yard

$1,000 spread over 6 months? Normally you get it in two installments. I guess they are doing this so you'll have some kind of paycheck when you don't get one.

    "Layover
Layover will be paid at $75.00 a day (split for teams), with management approval, after 24 hours"

Notice it say's "with management approval." That's if they will even pay it because they don't want to. I've only recieved layover twice out of all the time's I've sat or they will give you a load about an hour or so before the layover pay kicks in so they don't have to pay it. They are bad about this. You call to try and find out why you didn't paid for it and you'll either get the answer, "I don't know" or "I'll have to look into it" from whom ever your speaking with.

Monthly Achievement Bonus (Trainer teams do not qualify for this bonus)
Single - Dispatched miles over 10,000 at 1/2 cent per mile.

Don't count on it. You might see miles like this your first month or two but you'll never see the bonus, miles or not.

    Quarterly Bonus
Solo - must obtain 8,500 miles per month ($300.00 per calendar quarter)

This reffers to the "safety" bounus. Don't count on this one either if your accident free. I was there 7 months my second time around and never saw a penny of it. Made numerous call's to dispatcher, safety and payroll and all I was given was the run around. Don't even bother to get your hopes up.

    Load & Unload Pay
$1.25 per thousand lbs, based on the weight you handle, with a $25.00 minimum on light truckload orders.

$25 minimum on light truckload order's? $1.25 per 1k lbs at 44k lbs is only $55.00 then get it hit with tax's. Worth it? Hell no considering they'll pay a lumper between $150 and $375 to unload their own freight. Go figure.

    Vacation Pay
After one year of employment, one week of vacation is available on your anniversary date. After two years or more of employment, two weeks of vacation is available on your anniversary date. Vacation pay is based on 1/52 of your previous year's mileage. Your mileage is defined as the actual paid miles per week averaged from 52 weeks.

Based on "actual" paid miles? They don't pay you actual miles. Not many companies do. False advertisment?

    Driver Referral Bonus
    $500.00 for experienced drivers
Payable at $250.00 upon hire and $250 at the driver's 90 day anniversary

Yea, if you can actually talk someone into that BS company. Needless to say, don't plan on getting home on the date you specified. You might make it home the following day if your lucky. They will argue with you about it as well. Many times I have discussed with my dispatcher about home time and agreed on a date then doesn't hold his word wanting me to take another load going no where near home.

I live 3.5 hours from the yard in Lancaster and wouldn't be allowed to deadhead from there for home time until they finally got the idea that Shreveport is a dead area. Every time I have to remind them of that but they still don't get it. This company does that dumbest #### I have ever seen.

Pick up load in Oregon up towards the Seattle area. It goes to Hebron, KY. Take in down to Denver to the railyard, put it on the train to go up to Chicago then relay it back down to Hebron. Needless to say with all the time wasted trying to get it on the train because the company didn't have the bill ready for it the load was late to reciever. Sitting in Denver waiting for load. Dispatch say's meet truck such and such in Rawlins,WY for swap. Driver does not have enough hours to make it to Cheyenne. Was told truck was already there. Got there and waited two hours for truck to show up. Truck arrived and said he had the hours to make it a little past Cheyenne. Why in the hell did I just drive 50 miles back when I could have just gone straight up to Cheyenne from Denver saving me time on my book to get further down the road and miles that I didn't even get paid for. Load was relayed from Oregon to New York. Drove 600+ miles and ended up not getting paid that week for it because the paper work was "misplaced" by the delievering driver so they say. I was paid the next week for a little over 300 miles.

I guess FFE hasn't discovered that other companies keep their FM's, DM's, dispatcher's or whatever the hell they are being called this week, and the rest of their office employee's behind glass for these very reasons.

This company is lie's and empty promises all the way. Slowest truck's on the road. Ranging from 61 and 62 MPH. I've never been passed so much except at Prime with the whole fuel milage run 55 ####. Those were the only truck's I could pass in an FFE truck. Truck shop has a top work speed of snail. Pizza and Chineese is the only thing close enough to order. Forget getting off the yard without a gatepass and you won't get one of those unless you are in LTL and know either James Brown or your cool and savvy with your DM to get a gatepass to bobtail off the yard.

Safety at FFE are some of the biggest #######'s you'll ever meet, espacially Chad the safety director and Ray.

To put it this way, thing's have gotten so bad that the mechainic's, some of which have been there for 7-10+ year's are quitting because they are even sick of the #### there. Washbay employee's don't speak english at ALL along with some other's that run around there and the equipment is trashed out unless you get lucky to get a newer truck which I was lucky to get and the reefers are loud as hell. QC message's constantly coming in will drive you up the wall and it's really bad because you have to stop the truck to read them. While trying to sleep, turn your phone off. Night and weekend dispatch is notorious for blowing your phone up wanting you to do them a favor and won't send it via QC other than "call me at ex.# such and such"

Paycheck's will be small if you even get one at all. Might get lucky every now and then you might get a $600 check but the following week you'll end up broke. Care about making just enough to eat on, have a dry place to sleep and love drama & BS. This is the place for you. If not and you have bill's to pay and a family to take care of then I suggest going else where.
