If you search ffe, there is a whole section for them. Yes, they do train new graduates of driving schools.

 

F.F.E. is still playing as a driver mill yes. They have CDL training with a school in Pine Bluff, AR following which you will train (or more likely 2nd seat) for 6 weeks. I won't call them a good or bad company, I will just leave it to say they are what you would expect from a driving mill.

 

i went there for orientation in 2001 and ended up leaving, but everyone is different.. good luck with whatever you decide!

 

I just left them a couple weeks ago. I stopped by the house here in Shreveport got everything out and headed on to Dallas. Now considering I thoght this was a really good company and hadn't heard anything bad. Being there 2 1/2 months I only saw 1 $600 check, 2 $300 checks and 2 $200 checks. When I quit I went in to scan the last of my paperwork adding up to 2100 miles for that week. Just got my last statement in the mail and I'm hell bent about it. The statement does have any number's on it. Not even any of the trips. It's all blank like I did nothing that week. I took one $80 advance that week for scales and windsheild wiper fluid. They didn't show any reimbersments. They owe me a check so I called them and asked what was going on an they fed me a bunch of BS as to why my check was wiped out. I looked back through everything and see that something is not right because I even still ha $20 on my comcard from the previous week's pay in which they turned the card off and kept that too. I called them this morning hotter than hell and told them they better find out what happened and get me my money or I would call the labor board and the IRS and have them investigated because I have all the proof I need sitting next to me here on my desk that they wrongfully took money from me. Even gettig the QC service involved to trace every move the truck made for added proof. F.F.E a good company? #### was I ever wrong.

 

I called Payroll and started shooting a bunch of questions at them on why I haven't recieved my last paycheck and the lady kept giving me the run around saying it waa mistake and hasn't been processed but will be in the mail. Well 3 week's later I'm being told the same thing and told them I was tired of ####### around with them yesterday. I told her loud and clear I better have a check in the mail for every penny they pulled from under my nose the whole time I worked for them or I would be calling the IRS and the Labor Board to have them investigated if my check isn't in the mail Friday. I think I have been far more patient and fair with them on it and now I'm tired of dicking with them. You could hear the lump in her throat and her tone changed REAL fast. Appearently they think because we are single individuals we are not capable of standing up to them in what we have rightfully earned and we are to scared so we just let it go and go on. #### that! Not anymore. After this is settled I am done driving. Throwing in the towel however because getting my CDL was a 3 year long drawn out process I'm going to continue to hold it and now awaiting word on hire from KCSRR. See if I can put it to use there. Like I am seeing other people saying, it look's like F.F.E is hurting pretty bad as I wouldn't even consider them for employment. Halloween night I took my family don to the riverfront in Shreveport and while I was standing there looking across the river I heard the train leaving the Bossier City Yard and counted 38 of their trailers being piggy backed on 89' flat car's. The train wasn't all that long. A few JB and USxpress trailers but most were FFE so that has to say something along with all the empty trucks they have sitting on their yard and what I'm fighting them for now. RUN!

 

All I know is there base out of Dallas Tx and there training is 6 weeks.As far as good or bad company,cant tell you never I work for them.Good luck where ever you go.
