I'll take my first hand experience with Bill over your third rate, third hand "knowledge" any day.

I've been in your spot, where I got paid, and others didn't. It was a good gig, but I could never get past the fact that if they screwed others, what was to stop the next screwing from coming my way?
More power to you, but screwing a coworker is just a much of violation of trust as screwing me. And business relationships are all about trust.

 

What have you got on Bill that he took care of you,yet the guy who was the first to lease onto him & was obviously the longest tenured got crapped on.

 

I don't find it hard to believe that Craig's experience has been drastically different than others. If you were Bill and robbing Peter to pay Paul, who would you rather screw over two high seniority solo drivers making 87% and running low miles or a high grossing team making what-80%?

You're insane if you think he wouldn't do the same to you if the opportunity presents itself. You are obviously useful to him at this time (most likely for the reason @double yellow posted) but let times change and see what happens.

There's no way I'd be sticking around for a guy who can screw a man out of honest work and sleep at night. I'd tell him to make it right with the other owner ops or I'm gone also. Definitely no way I'd be defending his theft on a forum either, really makes me question your character.
