Reading some of his posts on FB is pretty humorous when you compare them to 5-6 years ago on here.

    Thanks cat for the correction.

OK I get it now. The FB is a closed group, not going to join.

The second link is to me just a BS flyby night site but I get it now. Maybe I am too cranky today ??

Cat sdp and mp4694330 Thank this.

Yeah. You guy don't know what many of us fleet owners think of them but let's say a few of the guys I deal with were not impressed with him.

    Oxbow and mp4694330 Thank this.

I was with them and one of the lucky ones who got paid out. I think it was about 15k. I did down tools and parked up and stayed on their books until I got their money. Also did a few visits to the office. When I was in there there was an outside accountant sifting through their books. They obviously did not have a clue where they was at, just that they did not have any money. I also rented a trailer from them. When they were folding up I got a call asking where the trailer was. I had turned it in about a year earlier and had my own trailer, that's how out of sync thing had got, they could not even keep up with their equipment. When i finally got my money I turned in all of my permit books and just got my own authority, They still owe me $48....but close enough.

I think they sold out to Maxtrans, who paid out on the back debts to the existing drivers to still run the fleet that was left. So I probably got paid by Maxtrans.

Debt write off is counted as income, So Bill probably got stuck with a non forgivable tax debt.

I heard a couple of weeks ago that Maxtrans had sold out. Not sure if this is true, it is just what I heard.

It's a shame how things went. There are lots of owner ops out there who like the option of running their own negotiated freight but just do not need the headaches of liability insurance, compliance, 45 day pay and collections etc.

I saw one of their trailers the other day. Not sure who the tractor was leased to.

I got run off into the center divider by one of their drivers last week. He didn't even look in his mirror before moving left.

Wondered what happened to them....big thing on here 5 or so years ago. We would be looking for one or two of those o/o you mentioned...it's a good model, some just want to get too big too fast, can't handle it.
