The cowboys knows how to throw a party, hands down. Calgary Stampede week going on and every major business is throwing a BBQ for the public. Today was Transwestern Truck Centres turn (Mack Dealer). And their food was fantastic. Catered from Rocky Mountain House. And finger licking good. Pulled pork on huge, fresh buns with all the seasonings your heart desires.
Grew up in Houston near the astrodome and they always had a big rodeo with a cook off every year. I love me a group bbq.
Fajita avocado salad type thing. I dig it. My family is Mexican, so tortillas are eaten at nearly every meal, so it’s hard to wrap your head around not using tortillas when fajita is present. I made 7 lbs of fajita thinking I would bag a bunch of it, but the wife informed me that I will absolutely be leaving these leftovers in the fridge. So we’ll see…
I'm lazy. I cut them in half, use a small teaspoon turned upside down to fillet out seeds and then layer on the cream cheese, shredded cheese of choice and other seasoning of choice then wrap in bacon. I cook them on lower rack(225deg) of my lonestar stick burner so they never get hot enough to bubble over and ooze out all the cheese. They soak up a nice smokey flavor, and when I mixed a small amount of "your favorite hot sauce" in cream cheese filling they have a slight picked taste cuz of the vinegar
Dang, you’re making me consider putting more effort into the flavor. I’ll have to put em in the smoker next time. And, well, add some seasoning too.
That looks great With the cost of bacon lately I've been buying pork bellies and dicing them up to put in my baked beans, and cheesy potatoes the kids like. I've saved a couple of bigger chunks that I made into pork belly burnt ends
This is very true but of diets that work, there are 4 things that they all have in common 1. Low in sugar 2. Less calories in than calories burned (not necessarily a requirement to excersize but it wouldnt hurt) 3. Low in highly processed foods (given the choice between a real cheddar and american cheese, always pick the cheddar, whole grain over white etc) 4. Sticking with it
