Didn't read through the thread but I have an 00 that has the bags between cab and sleeper. Mines a 63" if you're still looking for pictures pm me and I'll take a few.

Just wanted to add a small follow up to this. The air bag P/N of 20-19036 (Paccar #) can be found much easier by using the Peterbilt # R81-6002
KB3MMX, ODR and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Found the parts, about to put them in, going to have to relocate the fuel splitter as it’s mounted to the crossmember right now, Luwi67 where is the fuel splitter on your truck?
-
More towards the transmission shifter. I can get to it by removing the shifter access cover in the cab.
KB3MMX and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

I have a 2015 389 with a 70" sleeper. The upper plate is the only part installed on mine. I wonder why they stopped doing this at the factory? Looks like a project I'll be doing before it becomes an issue...

Haven't seen/heard of any issues yet on the 389's. From what I have ran into its a 379 issue only.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info. I had purchased a new 70" sleeper to change out my 63" and it came with the center bags. I thought I was gonna have to do a lot of fabbing up to get it to work, but thanks to your post I no longer fear it. I also noticed my 99 379 also has the gap in the door. Did you finally get your doors fixed, what was the fix for it if so and about how much does it cost to fix? Does your truck seem to ride any better with the extra set of bags, the bags don't need some type of shock system? Thank you very much.
