Since I have high blood pressure like alot of drivers, I get a 1 year medical card from the company doctor. Before I was hired by the current company, I went to a different doctor at my own expense. That doctor issued a 2 year medical card even though I had high blood pressure.
.
When in doubt get a second opinion. Personally, I would advise you to seek out a different doctor than the one that you were dealing with.

That will be the last day I drive a truck. -
BUT, some carriers, like mine have a limited list of specially approved Dr's. So you may NOT be able to go to just anybody for a second try.

I think I would find another DOT doctor and have him fix the problems this other doctor failed to address. If the doctor explains and approves your meds. and CPAP then I don't think you have any worries. Try to hide the problems will only haunt you.

My wife is a Physician Assistant and just DOT'd a guy the other day.

I heard that DOT is now going to require a Body Mass Index Ratio (BMIR).
That means all you pot belly/fat ### truck drivers might be out of a job.
They're also going to lower the BP requirement down to 120/80.
Yet more hoops to jump thru just to keep drivin truck. -
