I hit a curb getting out of the yard on first test but tester allowed it because was talking about 18 speeds

It's a moot point now. I passed my test. CDL in hand. I used another truck with a working tach, but it was my first time driving it. Shifting was rough to say the least, but the examiner was much more lenient than last time.

How do you get experience driving a 13-speed? It was all tens in school, and a couple nines.

Hah, you and I both know that has been a major source of deliberation for me. Currently, I'm leaning towards the flatbed companies you recommended. Come Monday it's time to really start making phone calls and grinding out apps.

There are so many considerations. I don't have the best work history, but at least I have 2-3 years paid driving experience, a clean mvr and a clean background, so it shouldn't be too hard to get what I want.

Plus, reading all the horror stories on here makes me extremely cautious. I want to start off on the right foot in this career.
