Heck NO. Werner doesn't have that kind of clout in the industry!! But they do report things to DAC. Was Werner your first attempt? You might be well advised to find out what may be in your DAC report. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere that explains how to do that...I don't know to myself. Your DAC report might reveal what they didn't wish to reveal to you.

Assuming your DAC report is clean, if you really want to stay at Werner, ask if you can have a different (more experienced) trainer...one that keeps you better informed as to what you are doing...good things as well as bad. Your trainer may only have maybe six months experience, himself. If Werner says "too bad, so sad" then be glad you don't have to work there.

Go ahead and apply someplace else...but be honest! Tell them you started at Werner but they failed you for reasons that weren't explained to you.

All the training companies are just that: a place to learn how to drive and to (hopefully) stay compliant. Yes, they will employ you after your successful training, but what you really want (and NEED) is a year's worth of logged safe driving. Or a years worth of pay records that specify you were a driver if you don't get a copy of your electronic logs. And as far as I know they are all truckload carriers as opposed to LTL...not to say there won't be multiple stops to load and/or deliver. The sooner you can get your year in and go to Old Dominion, YRC, ABF, FedEx, or ConWay Freight, the sooner you can make good money with benefits and have decent home time.

    Good luck to you.

I worked for Werner, and I wished I would have run the other way. They don't know how to treat employees. I had the worst DM. He would smart off at me, and he just didn't know how to talk to drivers. I would never work for this company again. They couldn't even get me home when I needed to be there. They don't want you idling there trucks. I will vote this to be worst company out there.

It's his job to be hard on people. These trucks can kill people if you don't know what you're doing.

Sounds to me like the guy had securities issues. I'm sure nothing made him feel better about himself than failing his "students"!!
