Well, if that wasn't a swift kick to the groin, I don't know what is.

Went down to the good ol' DMV today brimming with confidence that I'd slaughter my written test to get my learner's permit (the school I'm applying for requires you to have it by the time school starts). First test general knowledge, need to get 40 out of 50 right. At your 11th wrong answer they end the test. 46 questions in I hit the 11 mark. :angry5:

Next test, air brakes. No sweat right? 20 out of 25 to pass. Again 6 wrong, the test is over. Question 23 was my 6th wrong answer. :angryfire:

Ok, combination vehicles. I got this one! 15 out of 20 to pass. You know the drill. Question 18 is my 6th wrong answer.:violent1:

Oh well, lesson learned for going in there under prepared. That's what I get for never being a boyscout I guess.

Lots and lots of info on these tests! Another thing to remember is there always seem to be a few questions with very ambiguous answers--kind of cutting into your margin of error.

Yeah, I've heard that about the bar tending tests.

And a note to 123456--could you please consider putting back up yesterday's avatar. It was my favorite.

You are lucky you can complete the permit test,in Ohio if you miss to many the test quits.
At least you can study and know what you need to work on.
Now go back and get that permit,it doesn't matter just get it.
I failed mine the first time cause i was informed it was so easy(lol)
Well i got one of their permit books and looked at it for a week and then passed only missing one out of the whole test.

    Good luck!:biggrin_25511:
