There was a sudden horrible sulfur smell yesterday coming from my truck, maybe the floor area. Then it went away. I seriously just thought maybe Salt Lake City stinks and I’m glad I didn’t live there. But then I read in other threads that it could be a dying battery. Now today I tried to use my Xbox One and my tv screen just stays black. Researched that and found they can do that if not getting enough power from an outlet. My outlet goes to my battery. My APU works but no Xbox. This happen to anyone else?

Sometimes when a battery goes bad they can short out, with all the computer controlled junk on trucks today that can be very expensive, isolate them batteries until you figure out what is going on or you might have to replace many sensors and junk.

Definitely sounds like you got a battery going south. Get it checked or it could cause you some serious issues.

Your batteries gotta be sick. Tend to em before you cascade lose everything on that truck.

I have batteries that go out before and when they do they tend to either spike or starve something else that's important.

Dead batteries do smell like rotten eggs. With cold temps that are going on now, it will really show it's ugly head one morning when you least expect it. Husband got tired of the batteries that company put in, and had them replaced with Interstates at TA, so far no problems 6 mo later.

Stop drawing your batteries with all stuff that does not belong in a truck. For the price of Xbox and tv you could have bought new batteries.

Husband doesn't play X-Box, doesn't watch TV very often either. Cheap low amp'd batteries also make a difference in how long they last.

But trucks do have a lot of electronics that are built into the trucks already. All the computers and sensors, etc.

Hey gearjammer, this isn’t 1979. I have 6 batteries and an inverter that is intended to power whatever I like. I bet my bottom dollar you have a cellphone or tablet so spare me.

I’m at TA now. They can inspect the batteries. Then I can get back to killing zombies.

    ClassB Thanks this.
