Hello everyone, I just graduated WCTC Trucking School and I had been considering OTR to start, but Fairway Transit is a local company (Nationwide Bulk Commodity Carrier) Dump trucks basically. They are friendly with the school and often hire graduates from said school. I spoke with the owner at a Job Fair and she was very nice. Just wondering if anyone knows about them and if I stuck it out a year would that be considered good experience if I wanted to go elsewhere. Maybe go to OTR and would I be considered a newbie coming from the dump world? They do mostly regional hauling as I understand with maybe a couple nights per week sleeping in truck. They pay % of load too. Is that good? Thanks!

Depending on the percentage it could be. Experience wise, regional is pretty much considered OTR. You should be fine.
Sounds like a great alternative to a mega.Teddy_Salad Thanks this. -

I work for a small.family owned company from Jackson WI. I may be biased because my Mother is from Chippewa Falls, and I am related to half the population of the Northwoods, but I find Wisconsin people to be generally straight up and trustworthy.
Kyle G. Thanks this.
