They have no money to wash truck anymore but they can buy a new 389.I saw it the other day delivering shingles to the lumber company I work for(think the number was 92416). I have been thinking about leaving my local driving job to go over the road,TMC would be my choice, but now Im not so sure. Those black petes do look nice every time I see them though.

With as slow as they go people sure have a lot of time to look them over.. Ahahaha. One guy asked me on the radio one time

"Hey, TMC..How do you guys keep them black trucks so clean?"

I said, "Driver, i'll tell you a secret.. But you can't tell anyone else."

    He says, "Ok, tell me?"

I said, "Well, it's because we go so #$%^ing slow!!"

    :)

I had a 388 before I left there. They bought them before things got this bad, so you can't really look down on them for that. You can see my old truck in my picture above ^

    Well here is my thought....

Im a driver for TMC as well as most of yall it seems... This is something ive noticed here lately and wonder if yall have to?
1 We are getting more Maverick ratchet binders
2 Maverick is x strapping shingles now.... well i have seen 2 last week
3 The truck washes, trucks being turned down, prepass, cut pay, raising insurance, rasising services to every 40,000 miles, closing some of the yards....joplin, gaston, well part time now....
    4 Losing customers
5 Unfriendly, no concern for the drivers anymore
6 Black balling some drivers unfairly ....like abandonment in the yard with a 2 week notice ..... is uncalled for
7 well everyone is unhappy that u run into unless u just started for TMC but give a month

Personally i think just like the rest of yall something is happening and with all the qualcomm messages being sent out for stupid #### just be honest and tell us what the heck is really going on here.....
    1 Merger with Maverick
2 We are under or filing bankrupcy and the court is telling them to cut cost first as first option
3 Harold is getting old and tired and cant recover what the golden boy Tim did and is putting TMC up for sell???

About the truck wash the way i fell about that is u want to punish everywhere else to cut cost and now u taking what dignity we as a driver going up and down the road have left is assurd and plain dirty but it is a way to punish us even more like the longer oor, and making us pay for it like being late on deliverys or pick-ups, and cannot be compliant with the fuel optimizer which is a joke.....!!!!!!

well sorry for all the run ons but im just alittle upset and plain disgusted and getting grey headed i guess its just time to close up shop and move on down the road i reckon

About the X-strapping shingles....Maverick does not require us to do that...but some of us (myself included) do it anyway. And there are quite a few former TMC drivers at Maverick. Its easy to spot them by the way they tarp. Maverick will never question you for throwing a few extra straps and some people just like the extra assurance of no forward movement.

I am not, nor have I ever been, a TMC driver.

    Merger...I doubt it.

    Buyout...Maybe.

Hey Stonewall, thats one helluva first post!! Nice...

I have to agree on alot of the points you made, I'm sure not running into any happy TMC drivers except the ones that just got there truck because they were not here when all was lost, they just came into it that way...It sure is a major adjustment for all drivers from 6 months to 6+ years. All the changes are affecting the drivers in a negative way and all came crashing down within a few weeks of each other...which makes it that much more of an adjustment...I'm not sure of any sellout or merger but really who knows....I do know we will probably be the last ones to know and I would probably bet the way things have went, it's sure won't be positive for the drivers...
