Falcon had a different name before.
Trying to remember what it was. They were union then. Used to have agents in different cities. Mainly ran east of the Mississippi river and not to far south

Compass was their old name...
Closed down and renamed as Falcon 2 days later Basically -
Falcon, and Compass operated at the same time, IIRC. Falcon may have been the van side.
-
Compass WAS the flat/steel haul side, and had been around for quite some time. Due to mismanagement, Compass was dissolved and everything ran under the Falcon name. Mismanagemeny remained.
Falcon is hands down the WORST carrier on the road, and always has been., -
Ok, Thanks. I was thinking Falcon came after they closed Compass
-
Didn't they make the news a few years ago for one of their trainers beating a trainee to death with a hammer?
LindaPV Thanks this. -

Falcon actually hired me under a company named G.D. Leasing. I was told in orientation Falcon almost lost their operating authority a few years ago because their CSA number was so high and they would be able to continue operating under GDL if Falcons DOT number was revoked. Just a shady company no matter how you look at it.
I see them bringing in O/O's and offering them 80% of the line haul. So far out of a dozen or so owners, only two have lasted more than a few days. Once they see Falcon's setup, the O/O's can't get out of the parking lot fast enough.Last edited: Jul 12, 2016

They're always advertising what are seemingly good jobs where I live. I've read complaint after complaint after complaint describing what the OP is saying so I never went near them.

They run an ad on kc Craigslist for dedicated runs. Have the pic of the black Pete/ green bird paint scheme.
"Hurry, these runs won't last long" the ad says
