If the MRO knows that there was a delay in getting the sample to the lab, he/she has to invalidate the test if it is over 24 hours.
If the sample was given at the close of business on Thursday, they have to make sure they send it in within 24 hours of the taking of the sample, no exceptions.

Mishandling of samples does happen. I myself have known a driver who had tested positive but was clean. The lab switched his sample with someone else's. The solution was to hurry up and repeat the test asap in at least two more labs. The op case is difficult because it took a long time for the results to come back and frankly speaking, the right course of action should've been to prove that your body was clean instead of proving the lab's negligence and getting a lawyer involved.
Next time, If you don't get the results the next day, better make some phone calls to the lab. If they don't anwser better go to another lab and make another test.CruzControhl2 Thanks this. -

I been drug tested more driving a truck then when I was USAF back in 1992-96 in the 377th SFS guarding Nukes with an M60.
If yawl can't piss a piss or hair test, then you ought not to be driving a truck.
I've been piss tested 20 times in my career, hair 15 times.
I had to raise my right once and pledge allegiance, that was all it took for 4 yearsDeadwood Thanks this. -
This time it must be my fault again they didn’t know where the sample was over a week later.
Then also claimed they had it two days later.
