It's been used, we used it as a team.
Ive had people in the truck before usually one passenger and it's quite enough. (Company permitted and with signature of waiver should passenger get hurt or killed)
In training we were 4 plus trainer inside a little cabover once upon a time. Not a problem.
Family in the truck while working for a company?

Some CRE trainers took two students at once. So three, using the netting has to be legal.
You also need a letter from the carrier saying a passenger is allowed on the cmv. That specific passenger.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
My (ex)BIL had a prostar. There was him, my fat ### sister, 2 (sometimes 3) teenagers, 2 dogs and a cat inside that thing.
My truck has never had passengers until I got married. Now I can't get her out of the ###### thing.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

I cannot imagine living in a truck with an entire family... A truck is not big enough for 1 person let alone an entire family
4wayflashers, JonJon78, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
there is no law that says kids have to be buckled up on school buses. I highly doubt there is any law anywhere, stating how many or how old occupants can be in a cmv. Unless there is a law stating it is illegal, then it is legal.
I have also never read it on any commercial policy of my own, any mention of who could ride in the truck or who couldn't. It is illegal if a company does not allow it, but if they do, I doubt it.
There is even ways it is legal to ride in the trailer.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
