I have a 98 pete, 3406E cat. When I'm idiling with the AC on the fan will kick on and off. When I start driving I have to override it. I replaced all of the sensors. Now the fan just stays on. I did blow an AC line and there is no freon in it now. What will cause the fan to not go off and on now? I appreciate any help. Thanks

The fan will not go off because you have now freon in the system and it is giving a false reading to the ECM. Once you fix your AC the fan should work correctly.

Your A/C hs no freon the compressor should not be coming on at all. The low pressure swith will not alow it to come on. Just look at the clutch and you should see it is disengaged and should be as long as the fron is out of the system.

It sounds more like the selinoid on the fire wall that operates the fan.

    Franz Thanks this.
