No. The fuel milage is the same. But no "Low fuel pressure" codes, and easy start every time. Less gel related problems in wintertime.

I have mine on a switch and I have accidently turned it off at times. I can tell a difference in how it runs it feels a bit lazy. As far as fuel mileage I did not see much if any improvment.

From what I understand on the turbo 300d they detune your ecm to fuel milage settings rob your power and clame the ad on is responsible for the fuel economy. I don't think you can just put it on and get any improvement. That's how it was explained on one or them midnight trucking shows on xm

There are 2 major differences between the AirDog and FASS.

First, AirDog's Installation is about 3-4 hours less on a typical installation for heavy duty trucks because they 'T' into the existing return line. FASS has to route new fuel lines and split them into both tanks.

Second, at higher engine demand, FASS's air separtion is closed off so it can supply more fuel to the engine. The way AirDog is engineered, it removes air at all ranges of engine demand.

AirDog's Fuel Preporator II is the way to go.

I am currently running a FASS 200gph on my ACERT. The unit has been on for about 4 years and in that time I have lost 2 of the electric motors on the system. Currently I am waiting on a 260GPH motor/pump assembly from FASS that has been promised to me on 2 different dates. As I spoke with the dealer earlier today I told him if I didn't have the motor/pump assembly as promised this time that I'm gonna return the whole system to FASS with a nice little note and then install a Airdog. I like the FASS system, but the way they deal with customers just sucks (a customer can't deal with them directly even on warranty claims or replacement parts...you have to go through a dealer).

I had an original Preporator on a 1997 Western Star with a 12.7 L Detroit. More boost, better torque, better throttle response, smoother engine.

Eventually, the electric motor wore out, got rid of the truck without replacing it- but it works, it'll save injectors- and if you change your own filters, they last a LOT longer before plugging up and you can spin them on dry and let the Preporator fill them for you by turning it on for 5 mins.

They're pricey, but this wagon needs one soon and it's going to get one. I'm sticking with the Preporator 2.

Thank you for the good info. Do you have any of the two installed on your truck? Any improvement on mpg? Thanks.

I was told that neither is useful unless you are pushing 700+hp

If you want better mpg there is really only 2 things that will make much difference....

Drive slower and keep the drivers door shut!
