to any one thats over wieght dont go to prime they do a bmi risk assesment. my roomate just failed and she is 5'6 at 250 and i just passed by the skin of my teeth and i am 5'7 at 190 so what does that tell you that if your not a model you cant be a truck driver for themAlso, if you fail the BMI test, you have to go for a sleep study which can cost as much as $1000 dollars, and you have to pay out of pocket, their big ole corporation could not care less, and its not like they wouldn;t recoup that measly $1000 after you drive for them.

They don't discriminate against fat people. You obviously haven't seen some of the beast they have working for them.
Hermentruck2343, Anonymousproxy, Dabrian and 3 others Thank this. -
Not to be rude but your roomate is a big girl. You on the other hand are not. 5 7 and 190 is not really fat also what do they do for this test just out of curiosity? You have to remember something to, they are a large company with lots of money and people wanting to go work for them so its no big deal to them if they wont hire somebody because of there BMI tests. To them its just onto the next one.

I am 6'2" and suppose to be 180 LBS by the new BODY MASS way they measure things , but Im 222 Lbs.
I would be cancelled out by most prospective employers if I was looking to go back to being a driver.
So do not knock 1 company as many will do the same thing.bobbybaldwin and gdyupgal Thank this. -
Yeah, 5'6 at 250lbs is pretty #### big. I'm a little more then that but I'm 6'6-6'7.
Swiss Mountain Dog and TeeJay589 Thank this. -
Prime isn't discriminating anyone because of their weight issues. Prime is actually preparing themselves & their fleet of drivers for the next set of government regulations that are sliding down the pike.... and yes, if those regulations get passed into law.... BMI has a major factor with it. So instead of whining.... Do something about it & make yourself healthier! Not only will you be saving your job, but you may save your life!LoneRanger, justcarhaulin, chimbotano and 80 others Thank this. -
Both threads were merged together.... So this post in no longer needed!

100lbs x 250 loads per year = 25 000lbs x 30 year career = 750 000lbs lost payload ?
Best to hire anorexic midgets!truckerdave1970 Thanks this. -
Heck i am 6'3 275, and dropping. My BMI would be off the charts right now. I am never gonna be skinny, but i am in good shape for a big boy.
