You guys do realize that this picture has been morphed, right? Someone has taken the original picture and made the belly look fatter.

I'm currently a 68-W in the national Guard. I had applied to Prime and I hate that BMI because it never accounts for muscle mass. I normally workout so every time I have a PT test I'm always "overweight" but then I pass my body fat taping with flying colors (Body fat 28% Max allowable 34%). But if using the BMI I'm right at 25% which puts me at "overweight". My neck size is usually between 13.25-14, so I don't have to worry about that sleep apnea test. It seemed that every other person had to go in for that test even if they never had symptoms because of their BMI. Now of course there are obviously some people who need to take the test, but I'm starting to think that this is a a set up between trucking companies and the sleep center and the sleep center is making $$$.

Not at Prime, AFAIK. They use a third-party clinic, and offer a break on the costs to the drivers by providing space in the terminal for the clinic to do the tests. That's arrangement that was publicly announced when they started the program. There's only a minimal charge to the driver if he's negative on the test, and there's little to no waiting to get the tests done since the in-terminal clinic only caters to Prime drivers and prospective employees.

BTW, I know how you feel... everytime I went on extended leave I'd get put on weight control when I got back, even though I wasn't carrying a lot of body fat while I was in. A few weeks back at work... without doing anything except the physical part of my job, and I'd be off the list. BMI sucks.

It's ok to discriminate because the idiots...statists and drones say it is for 'healthy' reasons.... I am waiting for some ahole to try this on me so I can sue...

fat people are discriminated against? how so? heck, i'm 5'8"/168 and i feel just the opposite regarding discrimination because i have to do all necessary to complete the task at hand including climbing in/out of an end dump,removing/replacing tarp bows,rolling/unrolling a tarp, walking across the top of the load to place those bows in,etc. and then climbing up into or out of the trailer.i don't have one of those doors in the front of the dump.

i don't see any fat people doing that.ever.none.period.I hit many yards loading/unloading and see lots of other end dump drivers.i mean many have that gut but they do the job.part of the job i reckon-

This story is interesting as the plaintiff died, so technically wasn't the company justified in letting her go stating she could perform CPR
