FAT people are Discriminated against at prime

I got off of the truck in Feb 2007, and had a mild Heart Attack that summer. My cardiologist couldn't find a reason for my heart to be so weak. She sent me to a sleep doctor and he diagnosed me with Sleep Apnea. I had a really bad case of it, I would stop breathing over 300 times an hour. Your nervous system floods your blood supply with epinephrine, which races your heart and promotes breathing and wakes you up, when you have an Apnea.

That is why you are so tired when you have Sleep Apnea, you never get into the deep REM restorative sleep phase. It is also terrible for your heart to always be racing, when it should be resting during sleep.

Another thing that it causes is for your body to gain weight. I gained about 40 lbs while driving for the two years. I weighed 360 lbs. I'm 6' 7" by the way.

Now, I have lost 50 lbs since August of 2007, simply by using my CPAP machine every night. I have a goal of losing forty more through diet and exercise.

The CPAP (Continuos Positive Air Pressure) machine saved my life! I would highly suggest that anybody who is overweight and snores at night get tested! If you are always feeling tired, there may be a reason for it!

 

Was asked my height and weight before I was told I was approved for orientation. My BMI came out to a 29. 6 ft 215 lb

Tell the chick to lose a few pounds.... Cause the industry is going that way! All these fat people will be out of the trucks & flipping burgers before long... Including myself. But you know what? Instead of whining like a little school girl, I'm trying to do something about my situation before the government steps in!
