Do you really, honestly believe that the President and the first lady decided to come after truck drivers? NO, its the FMCSA. It's a health hazard, the trucking industry needs some serious help and its coming, hopefully. Detention pay for drivers on ware house docks and getting higher standards for the health of truck drivers and other CMV drivers too. Plus, CSA 2010 addresses drivers who repeatedly violate or don't care about the law or safety and carriers that do the same thing.

If a driver is severely over weight, sitting 14 hours a day and sleeping 10 hours a day with no exercise, he/she is at risk for stroke, heart attack, black outs at the wheel, diabetes, etc. It's an epidemic that is getting out of control, I don't want 80k of steel with a driver an a 64 oz big gulp of soda on the verge of a heart attack driving behind me on the interstate.

 

Obam and his old day comming after truckers humm who knows. To them its do what I command you to do NOT WHAT I DO FOR YOU ARE THE LITTLE FOLKS AND NOT AS WE ARE. They care little of how you want to live your life, its all about how they want you to live it.
And if you think the FMCSA AND THE CSA 2010 is all about safety of drivers and the hwy's and not about control and money then not much can anyone say. But if its a big thing and scares you some one behind you is drinking a soda or something you better hit the side roads more. woops they do it there too sorry you out of luck better stay at home.

 

Stop being such a sour puss and turning everything into politics. It's Obama and the first lady, not OLD lady. The President has nothing to do with CSA 2010. There are millions of issues and regulations and lobbyists in America, if you asked him about CSA 2010 he would have no idea what it is about. I think its pretty ignorant. I will not be driving on the back roads or staying home. You're not being the least bit realistic. CSA 2010 is about safety, explain to me how it is not? If a company repeatedly gets stopped for bald tires, it seems you would say "Oh, the govt is coming after them unfair." No, they're not. It's putting a stop to dangerous practices, drivers and companies. It's just like gypsy cabs with no insurance or safety inspections that over charge people are wreck their cars because they have no breaks, or the drivers on drugs.

 

While she spending her time telling everyone else what to eat and what not to eat while sitting around stuffing her big rear end. Its old lady not first lady . and i am not even sure is any kind of a lady at all. but thats a different point

 

Try the busybodies at the FMCSAs medical review board - they're the one's trying to justify their existence through tellin' all y'all what to eat.

 

Their's not the ones getting on t.v trying to take away happy meals from the kids. woops sorry i forgot obam says childern are mistakes.

 

She is the first lady, she encourages people to eat right and get fit? What's wrong with that? I thank you for proving my point. You've taken things out of context, accused her of not being a lady, very disrespectful. What kind of grown man talks like that? She would be a horrible lady too if she told people to drink milk, don't do drugs and stay in school...Oh wait, that was Mr. T. Shame on him!!

 

I agree with most of what you are saying, but the part about a driver having a heart attack. Of all of the truck accidents in the past 5 years, a little less than 90% were the fault of the truck driver and there are no reported accidents caused by an overweight driver having a heart attack.

that being said, overweight is not good for anyone

 

If she is your idea of a lady well maybe no hope for you. But thats a different subject.
As for encouraging people to eat right nothing wrong with that its a good think. But thats not what shes trying to do.
Shes try to forse others to eat as she thinks fit. Through laws and reg's telling people they cant eat this or that its wrong. In no small part thats what obam cares about controling the way of life of people thats not what this country is about its about freedom. oh and by the way she hasn't earned any respect yet.
