No you're not fat. You are OBESE. Not trying to be mean but there is no way you can be healthy with that height weight combination.
There are many people here in the US that are in denial. I will agree that the BMI doesn't tell the whole story. Body fat% is much more reliable indicator of healthy weight and likelihood for disease and complications but assessing body fat % accurately requires testing whereas BMI can easily be assessed by looking at a chart.
Excess body fat leads to a multitude of serious health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, congestive heart failure, heart attack and stroke just to name a few. I'm sure Prime as with any carrier doesn't want their rigs to be driven by drivers that are high risk factors for stroke and heart attack. If a driver has a medical emergency that causes a fatal accident it leaves them open to lawsuits and very bad press exposure.
You drivers should stop trying to defend your own obesity and bad health habits. Instead how about taking responsibility for your own eating and exercise habits so you can live a long productive life and be around for your families and not be a burden on society.
I'm sure I'll get lots of hostile responses for this post but sugar coating the truth just to placate you all isn't doing you any favors.AfterShock Thanks this. -

I see what youre saying, but it isnt always accurate.
EDIT: By the way, I run and bike just about every day. -
this makes me laugh, i give props to prime by trying to have a limit now of the obese people in their fleet.. we all know obese individuals have a lot more health risk which could include something happening at the wheel heading down the highway and possibly killing someone easily.. that means EVERYTHING right there. also the fact that obese people are a lot LESS alert because of there energy problems through out the day.. there is no reason to diss on prime for this.. they want SAFE DRIVERS. whoever doesnt agree with that then you dont really have a place to talk in the trucking business. if you want to drive for prime and your obese... try taking a more healthy route in life and losing some weight so you can indeed drive for them. its not impossible to stay fit in a rig. just got to have the motivation to do it. a professional driver will make sure he stays in good shape on the road to benefit himself and the others around him on the highway. take it easy fellas!

Of course a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat, but when people say that muscle weighs more than fat, it means that a piece of muscle weighs more than the same size piece of fat. So, if you exercise and eat right, it is possible to gain weight if you are losing fat and gaining muscle. By your logic then, feathers weight the same as bricks. This is true if you're talking about a pound of each, but who would ever say that feathers in general weigh the same as bricks?

I call BS on the whole height/weight issue! I, for example, and 6'2", and weigh 240lbs. as of my last DOT physical. And yet, I'm too heavy to work for Prime or Roehl. Care to explain why?

Im 6ft tall with size 13 feet. I weight about 260 and i can still look down and see my feet. The BMI chart says that I should weigh no more than about 200 lbs. I didnt even get that low during army boot camp LOL... -
