I'm 5'6", 260. Yup, I'm fat. But the #### charts say I should be around a buck-forty or so. Actually, my ideal weight would be around 165 to 170, as all the men in our family (while vertically-challenged) are naturally husky and not-at-all small-boned.
Well, except for my mutant 17-year-old son. He's 6'2". Must not be mine... -

Prime wants healthy people so they can rip them off longer before they freeze them out and take the truck back...
allycatt2 Thanks this. -
All they'd do is loose money by letting the truck sit idle for whatever time it took to do clean it up and fix any damage, then get another driver in it. -
Well, It's sad but true, Prime, Inc. (refered to as The Company) adjusted it's hiring practices and is not in violation of any EEOC Equal Employment or Discrimination Laws. The Company designed a way to reject a driver based on his necksize and body mass. The Company actually requires a Doctor of Medicine screening of every new hire for being Unfit (Lazy and Fat). The Company is taking a serious issue with the Sleep Apnea and Obesity of it's employes'. It could mean a short career at The Company if your bi-annual medical review shows you are unfit, or Fail to submit to participate in their clinical Sleep Study for about $2000 dollars.
For those who are young and in good shape, The Company will welcome you with open arms, To replace the aging overweight drivers soon to be terminated for failing to comply to the Obesity Screening & Sleep Apnea Medical Exam.
What will the DAC (Hire Right) report reveal if you're Terminationed due to an Eating Disorder? The Driver willfully violated The Company's BMI Requirements and Failure to practice healthy eating habits. Most likely the Violation will include Counseling before A Driver is Terminated for Insubordination for knowingly disobeying a rule outlined in the drivers employment and operations manual.

So if this was 1945 and they had bmi, you would only see healthy white males driving.
Well considering they didn't have a cdl then but w/e. -
Truth in Disclosure... PopMartin just has a grudge, because HE couldn't squeeze his bulk through the front door at Prime.
Sleep study costs ya $150 (or so) for current employees. I'm not sure how it works for new hires and students... I'm sure Sazook or U2 posted something in this thread about it.
If you need a CPAP, they finance it through payments. BMI is only used as one of a number of indicators that you may have a serious medical problem... sleep apnea. Fortunately, PopMartin is dead wrong about current employees. Prime won't fire you if you're BMI is above 39 - they'll work with you to get that and any other medical problems under control - if you can qualify for a medical card.popmartian Thanks this.
