    Not eating before bed.

Absolutely no cupcakes, cookies etc.Once in a while (maybe once a month if at all)

A lot of lean protein(chicken breast)

Mad water water water, a gatorade once in a while for electrolytes

    Low fat anything

6 small meals(small) a day instead of 3 large meals

    do not skip breakfast

Stay away from milk 2% milk has an insane amount of fat, it just sticks to you like glue(alot of people are unaware of milks insanely high fat content)

Also alcohol will stop weight loss in its tracks, they are dry calories some beers have 300 calories per bottle. Also alchohol will block your livers ability to process fats or nutreints you need to burn fats and calories.

Main ingredient(exercise) Work your legs out^^^Like the guy above. The majority of muscle is in your legs, when working them out you burn twice as much calories as any other body part

If you can go by these guidelines you will lose weight.
Some people just don't want it as much as others.
And yea sorry ladies, it is harder for females to lose weight do to there high estrogen levels and small muscle content.

If you can accept at least one of these guidelines your better off. If you can live day by day by them this time next year you will see a new you!

    Lol , #### I should have been a nutritionist

Any way hope some of this info im sharing helps you in some way.

    Good luck

" I'm 6'1"; on 7/4/10 I weighed 350lbs. I smoked a pack a day and drank mostly soda and ate just about what ever I wanted out of a commercial kitchen where I worked. Not making excuses but I'm built like a lumberjack; big solid barrel chest. I will never fit a BMI chart. Even at 350lbs I could split and stack a cord of wood in an afternoon. Anyway, when I went to sleep that night I said this is BS, I need to change. "

BigJD good for you that you made the changes. I am the same way I weigh 350 and 6'. I can do anything asked I worked construction and can still dig that ditch or chop that cord of wood. My argument is that the BMI test is not for everyone because we are not all the same. THAT IS DISCRIMATION. You cant put a guy who sits behind a computer in the same group as a person who is a body builder. Even though the body builders BMI says he is fat. Last Oct. I took a nuculer stress test and everything came back good. I took this other fat test and it says I have 230 lbs of lean mass. With the BMI the 230 lbs says I am fat. My biggest problem is if I lose the weight and when I gain it back it comes back 2 fold.

Here is that test and BigJD can you send me the name of those bands. Thanks.

What I think is weird is that some folks complain that Big truck truckin' companies don't give a hoot about their drivers, --- but when a truckin' company does seem to care, and implements a program that could well be beneficial for their drivers, they're criticized for doin' so.

For those who participate in the program, it's possible that had they not, they "could be dead by now".
    Ya reckon.

I'm not going to give numbers outside of the idea that on my DOT exam I do not look obese. Any requirement by any company regardless of industry shall not prohibit my right to choose what I do with my body. If I can safely operate the machine/truck whatever, perform with satisfaction the duties set before me, get along with coworkers, dock workers, shipping clerks, Law Enforcement etc. and otherwise be a good worker an a "team" player, should it matter that I'm a 4 foot 2 400lb smoking male breathing congested exhaust fumes waiting for traffic to merge onto I-294 in Chicago for 3 hours? If I can do the job, let me do the job.

Because you have a higher risk of croaking on the job. Because in a safety-sensitive job, you just might take out a family including children, and personal injury attorneys love that like sharks love blood in the water. Because the insurance company that covers the carrier has decided that you're a risk they aren't going to cover.

The bottom line is the insurance companies decide who drives and who doesn't. If your physical condition concerns them, you don't drive. That, my friend, trumps your rights... constitutional, right-to-work and otherwise.

Whatever you choose to do with your body, -- any company, regardless of industry, should not be prohibited the right to choose who's hired and who's not, for whatever reason.
    Fair is fair.
    "Should" it matter?
    Hmmmmmmmmmm
Statistics seem to indicate that it "should" matter, --- at least to SOMEone.
Can anyone explain why a person would choose to be an overweight tickin' time-bomb with health issues resulting from their choice?
If they say "no, --- you can't do the job", then you can't do the job, even if you could.
It's their company. Shouldn't they have the right to hire whom they prefer to hire? Should we have the right to demand employment where we're not wanted?

One more thing, if you enjoy chinese food most people have it in there head that the majority of chinese food is healthy when in reality its loaded with fat and carbs. The healthiest low fat run of the mill chinese is moo goo gai pan!(low fat-lean protein and lots of vegtables)Good stuff

Crossed my mind cause im ordering some now. :biggrin_255:

I thought Chinese food was healthy because cats and dogs run faster than cows.
