Exactly! Behave like you've been there before.
It would drive me nuts to have one of the new trucks with the DEF tank on side making it asymmetrical. I did see a new truck, Western Star maybe, that managed to hide the DEF tank amongst the step and battery boxes.

Old school to me means the way trucks looked when I grew up in the early to mid 80s.. the ones I saw going past the house on my way to school.. even the modifications they were doing the.. no 10" pipes or 30" bumpers.. no silly lamb doors or 20k watt stereos.. back when things like bumper guides and 24.5s were cool.. back when a driver would stop to help another.

Like @wore out said "a rod from the pedal to the pump" that's the minimum. Go backwards from there and it just gets better.

24.5s were cool.. are cool.. It's just that the newer areo trucks(uncool) are all 22.5.. not that there bad but all the rigs I grew up around had 24.5s or even some of the aluminium steel split rims(Not that I'd recommend those on anything put a perfect restoration.)

wore out and Oxbow Thank this.

I've broke down a lot of tires mounted on split rims. Tires weren't made very well back in the day, nylon cords, tubes

I also want to add they had white engines in em. Or at least the Paccar trucks did. I can still hear my Daddy say "Son you know the difference in a white CAT and a yellow CAT don't you? You can make that white CAT RUN!! Lmfao
