Myself im partial to the W900L with the modular sleeper.
I think this one would look mighty fine sitting out infront of a step deck.

Not bad, but both are a little too long in my book.

If I had the cash right now I know where there is one for sale, they want 10 grand for it, I could probably walk away with it for 8, but right now im kind of stuck putting money back into my towing business.
I also know where there is a T2000 that has a 500hp 3406E and a 18 double over. I would love to get both trucks, gut the T-2000 taking the motor, suspension, axles and tranny installing them in the W900L after rebuilding the motor with a bigger turbo and a marine cam. Then get it all tuned up, run some 6" stacks with a 45* turn out on em pointed halfway back.
Id also want to put a drom on it with a box under one side and an APU under the other.
Eventually I am going to get another W9 fitted out like that and im going to get a landoll roll back to drag around behind it so I can use it for both towing and equipment hauling.
In texas you can get an oversize permit that is assigned to your truck that is a yearly permit, It would be really handy for picking up dry vans and containers that were laying on thier side. -
My choice for best old school truck would be the first new truck i ever drove, a 1977 K/W conventional, a truck & pup.
It was strictly a work truck, heck it didn't even have a passanger seat or a radio but it did have a small cam 400 with a 13 speed roadranger and that was good enough for me. It did have airbags on the drivers so it was the first air ride truck I ever saw. Other than that it was nothing special.... -

I owned one of my grandfathers old trucks for a bit, 1951 White Mustang, with the 450 Reddot gas engine. That thing was still running in the late 70's when I was a kid, it had a sleeper cab, kinda like the integral design you see now, but you had to climb over a bulkhead to get in the bunk, and it was only about 2' wide. I wish I had a picture, it had the old coke style paint job, black and red, w/ a butterfly hood. I remember crawling under the steering wheel and out onto his shoulders.
