Now that I'm running around more of the upper midwest and Pacific northwest, I'm finding all these neat little regional chains-- and all of them outdo the big chains. Town Pump in Montana has to be one of my favorites, simply due to the fact that unless you end up landing in Superior for the night, just about all of them have ginormous parking, cozy showers and an actual upstairs lounge with comfy recliners and such--which is definitely a plus considering how most of them contract their fuel service to PFJ. Behind that is Kwik Trip (& its Iowa counterpart Kwik Star)...probably the only chain in which you can actually buy a variety of fresh produce.
Of the ones on that poll, though, Love's for fuel-&to-go, and Petro for 34 if I can't find a decent independent along the route.Truckermania Thanks this. -
Things must have changed some since I left otr trucking. When I came north and stayed, pilot and loves were fuel stops, not truck stops, not sure what a bowlin is.
-
Bowlin owns travel centers, including The Thing, one of Bob Hope's investments.
-Sapp Bros
-Little America
-scary abandoned ones
-then the big chains -
Ok, I know what bowlins were just never ever even though about considering them a truck stop, and the thing was a HUGE disapointment. lol

Bowlin has all of 10 locations
Is this a poll for favorite chain brands, or are we playing "one of these things is not like the others"?
