So that brings me back to my old question: IF you were crazy, would you-yourself know in your own mind-that you were crazy?? Curious minds want to know...

 

That depends on the individual, are you introspective? if so then probably yes, if not, absolutely not.

But its also a matter of degree and acceptance, then the question is what do you do about it, to simply know you are crazy is the easy part, to do anything about it, thats the hard part. Its why very few people ever do anything about their own behavior, theyve either not recognised it as a problem, or they have only accepted that they are, and selfishly decided its the world's problem, not theirs

Forgive me for being a bit flippant but I dare say that most of the psychopaths operating CMVs are driving yard mules.

On a more serious note, there are some Robert Ben Rhoades types among us but just like in society as a whole they are the exception, not the rule. Someone should remind the FBI agent that correlation does not imply causation. If someone is going to become a serial killer, they're going to do it regardless of their career or lifestyle. And 2000 miles over the course of an entire year really doesn't do much to help him understand the mindset of an OTR driver.

 

Kind of like thigs done in the war's, your mind has the ability to justify as it needs to, after a while it will seem normal, just look at the poticians that commit actually crimes against the country then claim there inocent. so anything is possible. Look at all the unchecked foreigners crossing into our country from places up north, many are sworne enemies of the belief system that founded this great country. Just saying when you lay your head down to sleep you don't know who is sleeping in the truck next door.

 

Seems like i read there is a correlation between intelligence quotient and psychopathy, Kemper has an estimated IQ of 150 to 160 .
