In the olden days we called quaker state and havoline a quart of slugg it up. LOL

 

I guess I haven't noticed that but I'm a 3500 mile drain guy too, doesent seem to matter with the make of vvt engines they are all intolerant of dirty oil.
When Toyota came out with vvt engines they said 7500 mile oil drains until they started blowing up before the warranty was up , they backed off to 5000.

 

Always been a valvoline man myself, and add Lucas on my diesels.....just like anything else, everybody's got their brand. Main thing is change that S on time!.. unlike how we were brought up right Brad? Lol

 

I know a guy out in broken bow Nebraska with a 2005 150 5.4 3 valve that has 434000 on it and never been opened up .
He's ran mobil 1 in it since new and dropped it every 3500.

 

Lmfao...yep ...how not to take care of an engine !!!!!

 

That's right Brother. When it comes to valvoline and Mobil 1 it preference. Amsoil is probably the best motor out there. But costs a little more and hard to find sometimes.

Always heard that too, never tried it. Was too rich for my blood back when I started using valvoline lol.. ya know me, I hate change, so it's valvoline, k&n filters, and Coors
