So, I am gonna ask for layover on this load from KC to Braselton GA. Picked it up Sunday morning and delivers Tuesday afternoon at 1515. 825 miles and though I was bumping my 70 I could have delivered Monday or dropped and started on another load. They had nothing so I was advised to take a reset which I did. Am I correct in asking for layover?

Majority of what I do on the long haul fleet is drop and hook or early morning appointment.

Upinsmoke and Vic Firth Thank this.

My philosophy is it never hurts to ask, the worse they can say is no.

I don't even know if we have teams. No on the driver facing cameras. I don't have any of the collision avoidance crap on my truck, but I think Runningman said the NEW trucks are being ordered with it. My 19 KW didn't have it. You can run on our long haul and run all 48 as a solo and I don't think we do much northeast. Ask to speak with Jason in recruiting. Really fine people here at FCC!

We have a few teams, but no real team freight to speak of.

But if the Dispatch Team manages them as well as they do the Solo Drivers, it's probably a better opportunity than a lot of places that do have " Team Freight ".
    Right ?
With very few exceptions, the Drivers in this thread have nothing but praise for the way they look ahead and plan and quickly solve problems for you guys.

As always, you and the other folks in here do a great job on this thread @runningman0661 . Thank you all.

Ya, I agree, never turn down a load and it will normally always come back to you... and if it doesn’t, ya, that happens too but as long as the wheels are turning. Beats sitting around waiting for a better load that may never come.

So, curious, that extra money that just fell from the sky... was that mainly because you are an O/O (or L/P?) or would that happen to a Company Driver in the same situation? (I think you are O/O or L/P... I could be thinking of someone else.)

    (Asking for a Friend) ... :)
