That flux capacitor will come in handy on some of these over night runs.

Well, I got sick last night and lost two of three runs. It turned out one of the local shags was indeed the same run. I lost my run to Kearney and the money run back to Four Oaks. But my big butt had to stay in close proximity to a bathroom as I contracted food poisoning or stomach virus. Tomorrow will roll to KC and pickup the 45000 lb load of dog food to Council Bluffs IA yard. Then a Sue Bee Honey load from Sioux City IA, to Cleveland TN for Monday evening. Weekend salvaged. Took it in the shorts, though, but Mother Nature rules!

So the hits just keep coming, I made it three days before it popped a code and derated the truck. This time it finally added the red engine shut off check engine light. Currently sitting in Ogallala waiting on a hook to tow me back to North Platte. On a positive note, at least it will be at a different dealer, maybe they can actually solve the issue. I’ve dealt with the dealer previously when the fuel pump hangrenaded and the whole fuel system had to be replaced. This trip out from the house has been a nightmare, from hitting the deer to being in the shop constantly with after treatment BS.

The dog food load turned out to be less than 22k, then the honey load to Cleveland TN, just under 44k. They got it off in 23 minutes, but took them 97 minutes to count and present me a $209 lumper bill. Company reimbursed of course. Dropped an empty at Shaw Flooring in Ringgold GA then bobtailed to the J in Resaca for the night. This morning, after a shower and breakfast, pickup another empty in our Dalton yard, head to Madison for a drop and hook down to Orlando for tomorrow. I have missed doing this run. Life is good!

Shipper error. Layover for me. Go back in the morning and get it to Orlando before original drop dead time of 1800 tomorrow (though I was given an extension of 1000 Thursday).

Still sitting in North Platte, talked to the Freightliner dealer and they suggested I get the hotel room for another night. The still can’t pinpoint what’s going on with my truck, they are in contact with the engineers at Detroit to figure out where to go next. They are at least trouble shooting and trying to actually find the issue instead of just throwing parts at it.
