After being in a truck that can run 75 for the last year and a half, getting back into a 65 mph truck ads unneeded stress to my day. When the only trucks you can pass are magnum and prime, and that takes forever, it’s ridiculous. These newer trucks they bought are averaging in the high 8s low 9s mpg wise, 68 to 70 would take a lot of unnecessary stress and aggravation away.

Lithia Springs to QVC Rocky Mount taken off me when I drop and hook in Dalton with no trailer to hook. So chase one down in Calhoun and park it at the Loves in Emerson GA. Tomorrow pick up in Covington GA headed to Kenbridge VA for Thursday noon delivery.

I think its a new customer we just started, RM. Ok by me. I don't consider it Northeast unless it goes above Richmond. Did that enough! Traffic to and from Northern VA SUCKS OUT LOUD! Being from Va. Beach/Norfolk, I.can say that!

Just curious, the one time I went into Va. to pick up, it was a broker load. Wouldn’t bother me if we started going to Va. regularly, that would mean I could get three or four Abilene drivers on here that live in Va.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and gntorres61 Thank this.

You are absolutely right about stress, FCC is definitely a right lane runner, Neb to Texas fleet should be atleast 70, got passed daily by swift, Warner, Crete, etc etc. Not the FCC I used to run with in the late 90’s early 2000’s. Safe travels gentleman..

Maybe turning the trucks up will get them back on the “Best Fleets To Drive For”.. Didn’t even make the list. Not talking trash either, great people in the office right down to the shop in Fremont..need to keep the disgruntled older drivers that blame new drivers for the lack of freight and miles locked up also..

So 20 days after being towed to North Platte, I’m back in my truck. Another driver picked me up at our Council Bluffs yards, and dropped me in North Platte Friday night in the midst of what is hopefully the last blast of winter. I got up Saturday and deadheaded to Broken Bow to pick up a preloaded trailer going to Four Oaks, N.C.. It doesn’t have to be delivered until Tuesday, so I’m going to swing through the house Monday and spend the night.

I originally had home time scheduled a couple of weeks ago, but the breakdown put the kabosh on that. My license is due to renew in June, so I’m going to go tomorrow afternoon to have my TSA background check done. And then hopefully when I come back for my scheduled home time in three weeks I can get the license taken care of.
