Well, it ain’t been a great couple weeks. Some of it’s just the market right now, a lot of it is my own stupidity, and some of it’s bad luck but I’m pretty beat down at the moment.
Last week was slow, had a load that took 3 days for 1100 miles (appointment delivery). Next 2 loads were fine, then had to go home for 3 days right after a reset because of no freight.
Got into an absolutely stupid accident trying to hustle to get in a door after waiting for 3 hours for a live load. Also my physical was due so lost a day in Fremont so they could document my moronitude and order parts while I went to get poked and prodded.
Made it 450 miles on my way to Georgia and broke down. Been sitting for 13 hours now it’s probably going to be a good little while longer. Transmission doesn’t want to come out of gear. First time I’ve heard a DT12 grind the gears. Getting parked was fun because getting from reverse to drive or vice versa I have to shut the truck off to get it into neutral then give it a minute then start it again before it will go into gear again . Waiting for breakdown to get in so we can hash out a plan.

Negative ghost rider, the shipper says we have been doing this run to Georgia pretty regular for the past year or so. Loading me now, hopefully the receiver in Georgia is as efficient as these folks on this end.

Was it tortillas? I remember picking up at a place called Rudy's one time I think in Fort Worth or Arlington I thought it was tortillas and it actually ended up being tortilla chips I think they were the On the Border brand

I remember that place, they would give a couple bags tortillas and some sausa if you wanted it. Really light loads.
