FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Looks like they left off a couple of pounds.

 

There’s a Rudy’s down in Carrollton. Hauled food grade corn down there out of Fairmont NE all the time when I pulled the pneumatic.

 

Managed to limp the truck to Freightliner in Troy, Illinois. It got exciting a couple of times. Hopefully they can find the issue without multiple shots from the parts cannon.

 

How often to rotate tires

 

I do my drives in an X once a year.

 

Well, plot twist, Freightliner actually doesn’t have any Transmission Technicians working today, so I am spending the night and hopefully the truck will go in the shop first thing in the morning.
Breakdown was not amused they told him this morning they could look at it today when apparently that was never in play (of course, stuff happens, the tech could have had a family emergency and if it was me I wouldn’t want someone telling randos about my personal life).

 

I do my drives every 75k.. got right at 300K out of the last set

 

Well, one worry eliminated. My DM told me he’d let me know when they found someone to repower the load. Never heard back from him and night dispatch wasn’t picking up, wandered over to check on the trailer and found the guy hooked up to it. I was glad to get my locks back (though I wish they’d passed on the message that I had a pin lock on it).
I was kinda afraid to go to bed before the load was safely passed off. Now I don’t have to sleep with one eye open.

 

Mine go around pretty fast at 68 mph… sorry couldn’t resist.
