FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Yes, it does and I do too. More work. Less money, depending on where you live, I guess. And who you work for. For me, it kinda sucks, but, life dictates it right now. Sigh!!! But, on the other hand, I am home every day and able to do what needs doing, even if the money sucks.

I have a nice mix of home and away. Usually home every weekend and a night during the week but also a few runs to California and Laredo. This week I’m doing a weird Raleigh to Louisville KY then pick up in Brooks KY to Melville NY and then back to Brooks KY. Reload is same place I’m dropping in Melville.
Then probably deadhead back to Raleigh from Brooks KY for the weekend...
I remember when Runningman was doing local... he WAS miserable! Lol

 

Hey everyone. New with FCC for about 3 weeks now. So far I have been really impressed with FCC, they seem like they really care and they lived up to what they have told me and kept me busy.
I live in Fremont and running midwest regional. I did manage to turn 2200--2300 this week with it being 4 day week, so I am excited to actually have a full week this week to see what kind of miles I can get.

Running MWR I was wondering and a bit concerned how it was going to work. Here's kind of a quick run down of my experience so far.
Orientation Wednesday and Thursday.
Left Friday---- Fremont to Edwardsville, Il. Dh to KCMO, pick up at drop yard back to Fremont. Fremont back to Edwardsville. Dh to St.louis. St.louis to Olathe, Ks. Dh to KCMo. KCMo to Lincoln, Ne. Dh back to Fremont. 34hr reset. Fremont to Edwardsville. Dh to Quincy, Il. Quincy to Fremont. Home for the weekend. Dh to Omaha. Omaha to Cleveland, Oh. Dh to Fostoria, Oh. Fostoria to Winona, Mn. Dh to Hastings, Mn. Hastings, Mn to Council Bluffs, Ia. Bobtail back to Fremont for Labor day weekend. Left out Tuesday morning, Fremont to Edwardsville. Dh to Quincy. Quincy to Columbus, Ne. Dh to Fremont. Fremont Plainfield, In. Dh to Indianapolis Indianapolis to Council Bluffs and Dh back to Fremont and home for the weekend.
