Yes, sometimes getting an empty out of there can be a roll of the dice. I’ve had to bobtail out of there several times to Lawrence to grab an empty.

Same problem we had when i was leased to Schneider. Seemed to never be an empty available.

I heard a day or so ago, this might be history in the making... I guess we have had two Tropical Storms in the Gulf at the same time but not two Hurricanes at the same time. Will be interesting to see what impact they have on each other.

    stay safe!!!

Hello, I fly to orientation with FCC on Sept 14th. Looking forward to the change, been doing Foodservice the last 10 years. Going on the southwest regional fleet. Can anyone on this fleet let me know how things are and if they really get you home on weekends like they say. Also, I was wondering if they really assign new tractors after orientation? Thanks in advance for your responses, just looking for a little feedback on how this really are there from a current driver's perspective. I've been with the same Company for the last 9 years so changing jobs is a big deal to me. I'm taking a huge pay cut to come here, but I'm alright with that if the hometime and equipment is as advertised. Also, I have seen some of the FCC trucks have flat screen TV mounts. Is it possible to get a DirecTV subscription in their trucks?

Welcome... Where do you live? I would say everyone in this fleet that wants to be home on the weekend is there. This is just my first weekend so I can't speak more than that. Two guys I was with in orientation got brand new trucks. I think that depends on what's available. If they don't have a new truck for you then you'll get one that's been driven before. They do take really good care of their equipment though.

Can't answer you about the tv cause I don't know. Lol. I use HuLu Live so I don't need anything else.

Must be really tired of your job to be switching after being there that long and taking a pay cut.

Hey, thanks for the info. I live in Oklahoma, about 40 miles east of OKC....I was really surprised when I heard about having a choice of automatic or manual, I thought the days of manuals were over. Looking forward to having one again..... and yes! Can't wait to get out of my current job. Transferred to a different division a few months ago because of a reduction in work with my old center caused by Covid-19. Have been miserable ever since. Went from assigned equipment 3 routes per week with a couple of overnights to slip seating 5 routes per week, all ramp deliveries (driver unloading) 10-15 stops per night. Not to mention 2 helper routes and 1 team route per week ( I'm a solo guy!) All that with garbage equipment for the same money I was making before. Oh, and I almost forgot, I'm home every day, but I work nights, so I only see my wife on weekends anyways lol. It's still a six figure per year job, but I'm so burned out I've finally realized money isn't everything. I started driving a truck because I enjoyed it, I started doing Foodservice for the money, BIG difference! Really looking forward to FCC.

Welcome aboard, I started out in foodservice back in 2011, so I know all about ramp deliveries. You'll feel like you're on vacation compared to that. I'm OTR and hometime has never been an issue. Met a couple SW regional guys and that's not an issue with them either. They're very well organized here and base their reputation on their word.

The trucks do have the mounts, and also not sure about the brand new trucks. Whatever you get, it will be freshly detailed and ready to roll.
