    The other thing about Liberty is that there are no good scaling options... either drive 50 miles to the first scale on route or drive 32 miles in a wrong direction to the “closest” scale and end up some 80 miles out of route and lost time doing so. {shrug}

    Redelivering a load that was late yesterday coming in to Newnan,GA at the Petsmart.

    Had to grab the trailer from the Dalton drop lot and come back south. I was home for a quick reset, woke up at an ungodly hour to get this done.

    Then on to Rome,GA live load destined for HD Topeka,KS.

    Why not suggest to FCC to get these put on the trailers...

    Normally not an issue, at most shippers, and with the CAT Scale App (weigh my truck) it’s actually very convenient to simply drive over a scale and roll out without even getting out of the truck since they email you the scale ticket... unless you need to adjust the load of course.

    but those would be interesting...
    is there one on each set of axles?
    Both tractor and trailer?

    unless they would be cheaper in the long run, versus paying $12/load over the life of the equipment, I can’t see FCC doing it... we are a very frugal company... which isn’t a bad thing at all.

    frugal company with happy drivers

    edit: but the “interior digital” option reporting all three axel weights and total weight is pretty slick.

    @MidWest_MacDaddy how heavy are those loads coming out of Liberty? I very rarely use a cat scale, my onboard weight gauge is pretty dang accurate. Once I kinda zeroed it in, I will use a scale once in a blue moon.

    I’ve been running my tail off since leaving the house two weeks ago. I dropped the load I pulled out of California in Coppell, Tx., bounced 10 miles over into Dallas, grabbed a preloaded trailer that’s destined for Council Bluffs, but I’m dropping it at the KCMO drop yard tomorrow. Grabbing a trailer from there and dropping and hooking In Edwardsville, Illinois sometime Thursday. That load goes down to Newnan, Georgia for a live unload Friday morning, and then I’m deadheading to the house.

    FCC’s planners and my dispatcher have never failed to get me home on time in 3.5 years. I didn’t think they would be able to pull it off this time, but they came through once again. This will be a quicker home time for me, I have to get my permanent crown put on Monday morning, and then will roll out again most likely until Thanksgiving.

    Can you please share some examples of usual loads weights and how it works for you with the onboard weight gauge.
    Pet food loads are some times really heavy.:oops:

    It will vary by truck, but what I would suggest you do is scale a heavy load, and check your in cab pressure gauge, and use that as a reference. On my truck if the bills say between 43K+ 58 to 59 lbs is usually legal on my truck. I even do this pulling heavy honey loads, and never have any weight issues.

    **usage of the In cab pressure gauge will vary from truck to truck, the above poster will not be held responsible for any overweight violations, use this method at your own risk**
