Think I followed that but if that’s the case, why would the visual be out of sync with the audible? I mean, I didn’t take a three hour break so I don’t think that’s the issue but why let you think visually that you have 2.5 hours or whatever, and then surprise you with an audible warning out of the blue?
I’m out of the truck tonight visiting my mom...
I’ll look for that box you mentioned in the morning.

Did you take a 2 hour break?

The reason for the audible warning is because if you extend your 14 and then don't do the required sleeper berth time you will have a violation. (Example would be going home or going to a hotel.) If you want to avoid it you can uncheck that box.

I had to start taking photos of my logs every time I shut down for my 10 because every.. time I go to safety window I have supposedly anywhere from 1-5 + log violations. Now 99.9 % of the time not one of those supposedly log violations every show up on my unit in the truck. I take photos of the Status , summary and graph after I go to sleeper berth status. It gets extremely irritating to go to the FREMONT yard when you know your gonna have log violation write ups in the office every time when your unit in the truck is saying you are in compliance !

ding ding ding
we have a winner
You nailed it.
The “Will Pair SB” was check...
(unsure how/when that occurred)
... and between off duty while on the yard both before and after, enjoying a good meal, and personal conveyance there and back, I was in fact not on duty for 2h07m thus tripping an 8/2 event.
thanks
still not fond of the clocks visually telling me one thing then getting an audible warning of current reality but I guess that’s more of a user interface for the software engineers.
again, thanks for your insights on this issue.Silverdriver, runningman0661 and dwells40 Thank this. -
You're welcome. It took me awhile to figure it out. I found that my omnitracs would not split the sleeper berth time unless the block is checked.
When you split the sleeper berth then you need 7-8 hours in the sleeper so that is what the audible warning is for. The time shown is only accurate if you spend the required time in the sleeper. The unit doesn't know if you will go into the sleeper so it is warning you that the time shown on the screen is only accurate if you take the required time in the sleeper.popcorn169 and Silverdriver Thank this. -
I just saw an FCC truck in Richmond! Maybe there’s hope yet of hiring on - IF I decide to go back OTR.
