10 hours from completing this load heading to the Greater Chicagoland area, but bumping my 70... only 4 hours left for tomorrow and 7 coming around... even starting at midnight, these two drops are going to be about an hour late each... that’s some tight scheduling there.

Looks like I’ll be running vampire for a bit.

edit.. I leave the truck and it’s a 10 hour trip... I return and it’s now an 11 hour trip... LOL ... ugh

320k. I have been idling all this week, in sub teen temps a couple of nights in Illinois. Today, I ran 540 miles without issue.

I don't ask permission. When the APU fails and its 9 degrees out with -9 windchill? I let my dm know. Besides don't want the fuel to gel. And yes I added the bottle of prevention. I don't wanna find out how good or bad it is.

Has anyone loaded at Freud in Greensboro, NC before? Kinda worried because in the load information it warns that “they don’t like us”

The name does sound familiar but nothing is coming to mind. Be sure to make a good impression before the rest of us are sent in... lol

Ya, no APU would certainly call for idling.

Well ####... I’ve said it before... I don’t mind staying up late and driving into the night. I don’t mind getting up early and driving into the day... heck ive even started my day at 6pm and driven through the night due to a very hot load or very poorly planned load... but I hate waiting around all #### day until midnight to to start my #### day.

And the biggest kicker... I try to get a couple hours of sleep before midnight... alarm goes off... get up, make my coffee... start my day... start up the truck... waiting for the QC to boot up so I can officially get rolling... but wait... I still only have my 30 minutes left over from yesterday... I could swear I had 7 hours coming around... so I start looking into it.

I forgot the QC day is Central Time. :biggrin_25523:

so now I’m waiting around, wide awake, to start my day at 1am... Eastern. Ugh... it’s going to be a long couple days... lol

Curious, is anyone else experiencing issues with their PrePass? Mine seems to be working at Tolls but I’m not sure when it’s been that it’s given me either green or red lights for Weigh Stations... most have been closed but it would normally give me a green light to roll on past.

I’m changing the batteries to see if that was the issue but like I said, it’s been working for tolls... but that might be a more passive technology vs what the weigh stations use. The box chirps at me when I touch the batteries so they must still have some charge in them. And these batteries are only 6 months old so I’m not so sure it’s a battery issue.

Is there a test we can run either from the truck or from the office?
