Most of our trailers have shorty flaps that don’t contact curbs unless they are really tall. In any event a driver needs to notify dispatch even if the are responsible so the next driver can roll...

My opinion is that the only way you could miss that damage it’s only two ways. Either you didn’t walk around and do a pretrip or you don’t care that it gets dumped on some poor innocent other driver

Yes, they make .10 cpm more, and they do keep them at the flatbed rate when hooking to a van.

The live load in Ocala went amazingly smooth this morning, in and out in under an hour. They usually don’t live load on Saturdays, I check in at shipping, “we don’t live load on Saturday” me “great” Shipper “oh wait is it going to a Menards?” Me “yes” shipper “ go around to the receiving side they should have it staged and ready to ship.”

@Loner2legs that’s totally unsatisfactory, hopefully they will track it back to the POS that dropped in CB.

a lot of these companies really need to get tough on these people who knowingly and willfully drop trailers especially at the companies yards with obvious defects like what was posted on here and stop being afraid of offending those drivers and having them quit because obviously they aren’t worth a darn to begin with so why keep them on board...

Because in my entire time in this business I’ve seen that quantity over quality is the recipe for lower standards in downward fall of a company...

Is that by choice to run recap?

speaking of recap... I’ll be in Fremont tonight until Monday morning on a 34... if anyone is around I’d love to put a face to a name.

Where does one find reviews for shippers and receivers?

I run recap because I am extremely uncomfortable to do 34,s under a load . Because I don’t have the education to figure out the times. It is like when I am asked to give a ETA . I can’t figure those out either. What I do in that circumstance is take a photo of my logs & and other info
And send that info to a friend that i used to team with and he figures it up for me .
The schools I went to in Iowa stopped working with me in 3rd grade and just passed me threw and gave me my 8th grade and 12 grade diplomas.

yes I hope they keep their promise . when I started they told me that they will track it back to the driver and punish him for it . all I can do is hope they follow through with it!
