Tomorrow is 10 weeks with FCC. I'm in the SW region, and averaging about 2900 miles a week. They keep me busy, mainly between central Nebraska to DFW area. I'm actually home now taking a couple days off. The dispatch has been friendly and helpful, easy to get along with. Another thing that I have noticed is that most of the time when I meet another FCC driver on the road, they actually wave back. The ones I have met in person are always friendly. Also the trailers are in good shape. I've only had one time that I picked up one with a flat. All in all I'm glad I made the decision to come to FCC.

@Kasper42, glad its working for you. I'm really enjoying my decision to come to work here. I recently spent 3 weeks out, my decision. The money and the miles just kept falling in place and hard to turn down. Usually I get home for a reset once a week, but it has worked out to get 2 1/2 days off this week. I drive a Light Blue Cascadia (old Gordon truck) with white lettering on the doors.

Left out this morning at 0400, deadheaded 223 miles to Madison, Ga. to drop my empty at a new customer. Then bob tailed 131 miles to Rome, Ga to pick an empty, and now currently in a door in Calhoun, Ga. picking up a load going to Topeka, Ks.

Very unusual, they needed the empty at the new customer to set up a drop and hook situation. My rule of thumb is anything over a 300 mile dead head I ask for help with fuel, since we don’t get a fuel surcharge on empty miles. Today was 379, so they agreed to give me some extra money for fuel.
