FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Ya, we are just testing the waters this year. I hear good things about it from others but not sure it’s worth flying the better half in for it and missing a holiday weekend with family but we will see how it goes this year and reevaluate for next year.

Luckily we have some really good friends in Lincoln so we will hang out with them for most of three days that she is here and then go to the party so we will get a twofer out of it.

 

So I have a little crack in the windshield. It’s been rather small and doesn’t obstruct my vision but also growing. They couldn’t replace it last night in CB so now that I’m here in Fremont for the coolant leak, they are replacing the windshield too.

Downside, it’s a KW and those windshields are glued in so I’ll be here for six hours while I wait for the glue to cure.

But, I’d rather them address it now instead of getting the line that it’s still legal since it obstructing my view blah blah blah that I’ve heard before. I actually suggested that if they didn’t have time I could drive it until the next 8k… nope, won’t do that… they want to address it now so it’s not an issue while OTR especially going into colder weather.

have I mentioned that I like our Shop? If I haven’t, I really do.

Just be thankful they are glued in, the #### Freightliners leak every time you go through the Blue Beacon after getting them replaced

 

There is a Quaker Steak in CB? I stop at one in Columbia SC and like their food. I’ll certainly check it out the next time.

I did a bit over 39,000 miles last quarter.

 

38,091 on the SW regional fleet. I was broke down 2 1/2 days, and took 2 days off ( not counting weekends). I did stay out a few Saturdays, but was usually home before noon on the Saturdays I did work. So yeah, miles are still here.
