The next few months are going to be tough. Companies big and small that aren’t run properly will fail if you fuel prices stay this volatile, and god forbid if rates tank.

From what I could gather though by asking members in this thread in late 2021, one OTR driver was making about 65k gross per year at $0.50 CPM base pay, with $0.06 CPM quarterly bonus.
With the way that inflation is going, $0.50 CPM, much less for drivers with 2 or more years experience, is too low. It doesn't matter how many miles you get on $0.50 CPM, that's not a good base pay at all.
I also didn't like the hometime policy (1 day off for every 7 worked is tied with other companies for the worst hometime in the business), forced fueling solutions and their $0.01 CPM per year doesn't even cover inflation. Though to be fair that's not unique to FCC, most companies in every sector do not give out adequate yearly raises, which forces employees to have to switch jobs every couple of years to get big increases in their yearly salaries.
FCC seems like a good place in many regards though, the shop gets good reviews, 68 MPH is nice, the people on this thread are all very nice and answered all of my questions in late 2021. From when I researched the thread back when guys used to update the forum on their routes on a regular basis, there are a lot of drop and hooks too, which is nice.
I just couldn't get past the pay and the hometime policy though. What really confuses me is why anybody would go OTR to only get 4 days off per month and STILL make less money than the regional guys who make about 20k more gross per year AND get 8 days off per month. That makes zero sense to me why anybody wouldn't just take the regional gig to make 20k more gross per year and get double the hometime, but I digress.MidWest_MacDaddy, motocross25 and dwells40 Thank this. -

If you compared the same few drivers and they were ALL regional, or ALL OTR, I would gamble that the pay difference would remain about the same.cdavis188, IH9300SBA and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
