FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Roger, I did this same load about 10 months ago. Last time I did it we had a dropped trailer at the customers end. Hopefully we still do.

 

So they still have a dropped trailer at the customer in Des Moines, pulled the empty from the door, and put the loaded one in it’s place. I am picking up 7 miles away going to Anaheim, Ca. for Monday. My scheduled pu time wasn’t until 1400, but only being a few miles away I decided to come over and see if I might get loaded early. I check in and the shipper says put it in door 1 and I’ll have you loaded right up. Sweet!

Another winter storm is coming across the 80/70 corridor, so I will be dipping South again and taking the Southern route. It’s only 83 miles longer, and don’t mind that ride one bit.

 

I’m sure we will pass each other somewhere along I 40. I owe you a meal, so let me know where you shut down tonight. Be safe!

Don’t blame you, the kids are only young once. All of mine are grown, so I figure I will run OTR for about 3 to 5 more years. I had a local gig, most drivers would die for, home every night, deliverying for a grocery store chain, no touch freight. I was miserable, I prefer long haul, load me up and let me run for 3 or 4 days.

 

Taken a 34 in Barstow, getting two flat spotted trailer tires fixed. When I picked it I noticed it, figured since I’m dropping this trailer Monday, and taking a 34 I would take care of it and not screw the next driver. Unlike a lot of the other worthless POS out here I do my best not to pass it on to the next guy.

They have me preplanned on a nice long 2249 mile run Monday after I get empty. I have to dead head 126 miles to Mecca, California and pick up a preloaded trailer going to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
