FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Oh it’s been running, I just feel a bit guilty with the fuel prices what they are, but it’s still cheaper than the parking fees.

 

Yup, when it’s required, run the big boy. I don’t think anyone would blame you for idling in such high temps.

 

They definitely wouldn't, as long as you call your DM and let them know what is going on. They can make a note of it and it won't count against you as far as your idol percentage numbers and they can work on getting you routed back to one of the shops to get it taken care of. I had mine quit working one time in the summer and had to Idol. I let them know about it and they said thanks no problem idle till we get you back.

 

This week was filled with that unfortunate but it’s trucking bad luck. Nothing serious just longer than expected shop visits, customer delays, lots of little things not going as planned. You know, just another average week in trucking. LOL

but after several weeks of running the dedicated run I’m heading home for Easter. I will be going back on it after returning from the East Coast, at least until we get mom translationed up to Champaign and her current place cleared out.

Worked today and taking a load up to Bellefontaine Ohio tomorrow for Monday morning delivery. Easy weekend.

 

Well, that $uck$!!!

Just heard that I’m loosing my DM. He’s taking a CSM position here at FCC so we aren’t losing him (thankfully) and he will be awesome in this new position, BUT…

I have actually enjoyed working with him. He always kept my wheels rolling, was so easy to work with, and his dry sense of humor and simple one liners always made this Driver smile during those frustrating moments. The kind of DM that you don’t have to hassle for the next load while you sit and wait, but had it all ready for you (as long as you kept him updated with your plans)

so, thanks for making my first couple years here a great experience and to whoever takes your place, they have big shoes to fill.

Well, at least they aren't promoting ####heads. Not that there are that many to go around at this place. Sucks when you have to start wondering what kinda DM you'll have to train next.

 

Ben has a better grasp of trucking dispatch than anyone I’ve encountered in my 30+ years. He will be a perfect fit as a CSM.

 

The soldier in me keeps reading he is your new Command Sergeant Major....

 

Oh I have no doubt he will excel.
But I’m selfish… LOL
