My Update: back OTR now. :)

Truck was in the “maybe today or maybe next week” status at the Dealership on Tuesday but thankfully it was same day.

Grabbed it late Wednesday morning after Service Manager signed off on it and the Bill was Paid and rolled out with the better half early afternoon.

BT to GA and heading to Shell Rock today. Then a Purina Load to Lincoln and then off to Four Oaks.

so it’s been a pretty good couple days … boy does this 8x8 Box get tight with two people in it. Ugh.

The better half and myself will be OTR for a couple weeks unless we opt to go past Thanksgiving. We will see how the next week goes… LOL ;-)

    stay safe

In over 28 years of driving a truck, my wife has never ridden with me. The other day, I said that when she retires in a few years we could run team, she just laughed uncontrollably.

Too Funny. Ya, it’s not for everyone for sure. I try to talk to other couples as I come across them just to see how they deal with life on the road in an 8x8 box. Seems to be either it works or it doesn’t.

It’s a nice little test drive for down the road. We took two weeks together OTR when I was still in a Green Truck so it’s not a first trip.

    PSA: Annual Company Dinner

Anyone else going to the Annual Company Dinner this year? I went last year and enjoyed it but it’s up to individuals if it’s worth the time to go or not.

It’s a bit up in the air for me at this moment as I’m not sure if I’ll drop the better half off before and get back or if maybe she will stay on the truck through thanksgiving and attend with me then take her home.

Either way, I’d love the opportunity to actually meet a few of the riff raff here on this thread if you are going. Maybe we can get a table together for the dinner or grab a few drinks before and/or after.

I am planning on attending, McDaddy. Not sure about my wife. As bad as this sounds, I worry LESS when she's home, than when she's with me. Thousands of dollars for rehab on her shoulder at the rest area in Dale IN. Not enough room for two adults in the truck. But, I can't be mean and not let her go if she wants to go.

So I come out of the house Wed, get a brokered load from Emporia VA to Dalton GA with not enough time to do OTD. Four hours late. Yikes! Hope.I don't get dinged. Then, go to Ringgold GA for a load to Sullivan MO, then a load from Sullivan, to Olathe KS which I will deliver in the morning (Sat) and then pickup a load at our KC dropyard going to Four Oaks for Mon then loaded out to points unknown. A somewhat middling week. Need a short run to del Tues otherwise, 2200 mile paycheck. A little below par but we'll see.

Probably not, I’m taking 5.5 days off around Thanksgivings to go see our daughter and grandkids down in Florida.

Counted 12 trucks blown over Elk Mountain to Laramie. It’s not simply the wind, I’ve sailed through with Kawasaki 8,000# loads. These sandal wearing kids are getting out of hand and people are getting hurt. Training, Training, Training!!!
