FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Pay period cutoff is midnight tonight, 3,614 paid miles for the week, not to bad. Spending the night in northern Oklahoma on a load down to sealy,tx. Gotta attend a funeral tomorrow, so stopping by the house in the morning, run some errands, check the livestock then head to the funeral. I'll probably leave around. Midnight tomorrow night and have this down there thursday morning.

 

Hopefully my truck didn't hear you talking about that radiator, don't Jinx me. Finally got the aftertreatment issues fixed at Detroit this time (knock on wood) no more lights so far. While doing my grease job last weekend in noticed my passenger mudflap bracket was cracking where it's welded at the flange that bolts to the frame. Worthless welding job, once the paint chips off a little and the bead gets some rust it starts cracking all the way around. Picked up a new one today in Fremont, I'll change it out this weekend. Amazing how cheap these things are built now, yet look at what they cost

 

Cattle & hair sheep, I think there's 12 sheep all together out back right now ( unless we had babies this week) more on the way. Only 5 head on the Cattle right now including the bull ( two are bred for sure), still building that up. Raising miniature Herford's at the house, working on leasing 160 acres south of me near the auction I work on Saturday's. Hopefully that comes through soon, then I'll start building a full size commercial cow/calf operation. Also trying to lease the place next door to me to get a little more space for the minis, looking to get that to around 10-12 mommas, that'd produce 10-12 calves and 30-40 lambs per year to market from home plus hopefully the full size Cattle on the other place if I can get that going. That's the plan anyhow, it creates another business to keep uncle Sam off my back for awhile lol. And it's something I love doing..... And I can't forget our three chihuahua's, real farm dogs lol... sold all the horses, but I'm going to probably need another one pretty soon. Don't want one but they're a necessary evil sometimes.
