Apparently the land the theme park sits on was sold for $310 million dollars!
A few Six Flags theme parks have been sold and in recent years. The one in Maryland is scheduled to shutdown permanently after this year (November 2nd).

When I was a kid it was called Six Flags Over Texas. They had one flag flying for each sovereign nation that laid claim to our state throughout history.

Spain, France, Mexico, the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS (which I wish still existed), America, and the Confederacy.

 

Was just at Six Flags over Texas, on a Monday in June the park hours were 11am-7pm. I thought that was rather early closing for summer vacation time. Entered the park at 11 when it opened, rode 9 rides before 4pm, no lines, great day. Only thing I should suggest to Six Flags is time to seperate from Marvel and Warner Bros cartoons, as much as I love Bugs and the gang, kids today have no idea about Bugs Bunny.
