A new driver has a lot to learn. While it may be possible on paper in reality it is not.

They did where I worked in Nashville. $65K right out of cdl school.
$60K is not that difficult in tankers for a new cdl driver. Schneider tanker drivers make that much working out of a good terminal.
Wish I'd known this years earlier than I did; it would have saved me a lot of headaches early in my career. -
I know a guy at UPSF who has high BP AND diabetes and works as a City Driver. Smokes cigs like a freight train and drinks coffee by the gallon...SMH. He's doped up on all kinds of meds to control his BP and blood sugar and has to be checked every 3 months for a med card. Don't know why he doesn't do anything to help control his health issues other than taking drugs and insulin...but it is possible to have both problems and still drive a commercial vehicle.......

60k is not impossible. Not these days. He can get a job right out of school making decent cpm. It's more companies taking students than people know about, good ones at that. People just look towards the typical CR England, Swift, and Werners of the world. You can make really good money doing flatbed too. The money a driver makes over the road ultimately depends on location, how often he/she stays out, territory ran, certifications,or any number of things. 60k the first year isn't as far fetched as some of you think.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Here's some info on CFI cdl school:
Company-paid Tuition
With a 12-month commitment to drive for CFI, qualified students can now receive fully paid tuition to attend driving school in Missouri. We’ll even cover your room and board for the duration of the four-week course. -
Jim Palmer Trucking is another good choice for cdl school.
This company also provides transportation to the school, then meals & lodging while in their school.
They hire in Florida, Texas, Nevada and where you are now.
Pay is really good; think new graduates from their school start out at over .40 cpm plus fuel bonus and accessorial pays on top of that.

TMC Transportation - Official Site
www.tmctrainingcenters.com
Click on the blue lettering for Youtube videos on their program.
Their school is in Des Moines, Iowa and they'll ship you there and provide meals and lodging.
New Jersey is one of the states they recruit students from.

FFE (Frozen Food Express) and KLLM Transport have their own cdl schools and also share the same schools because KLLM owns FFE.
Lots of Florida freight because they're refrigerated trucking companies. FFE has a terminal in New Jersey and two in Florida.
If either of these look ok to you, do the online applications. The website is a little confusing as to where they hire from, but I saw an ad not too long ago for New Jersey drivers.
